Matthew Do is a CS and Linguistics student at UCLA (a program with a 3–7% acceptance rate). He is a highly accomplished high school debater who was ranked the #1 speaker in the nation in 2024 and a finalist at the Yale Invitational Debate Tournament, one of the most competitive high school debate tournaments in the country.

After finding success in competition, Matthew helped teach and mentor students at his high school, contributing to the growth of the program after he and his partner began placing at tournaments. While coaching, he's helped several of the students he worked with reach national finals in their divisions.

As a coach, Matthew focuses on helping students develop strong argumentation, strategic thinking, and confident speaking — working closely with debaters to improve their case construction, rebuttals, and round strategy.
